Sort of the ‘Origin Story’ where we also see she is a little artist who loves to draw. But then - we see her grow into a young lady who now travels all over the country. And as we turn the pages we find ourselves turning the pages of her sketchbook and all her drawings - drawings of birds! And LOTS of them. Over 100 North American Birds can be found within th

I think in these snapshots you'll get an idea of the progression. The background is next to tackle after I get this foreground complete.

Testing the waters
with the holidays and other projects I haven’t been able to really do much with Tig Tig as of yet. But that is changing. Today I took paper, pencil and my Bic pen to the coffee shop. I’m intrigued with the idea of creating this work with these tools plus watercolor. (I’ve done all my books and much of my art digitally). When I shared my interest and fears about this road to my wife She said I should test it out and see if what is produced would translate well in book form. so, that is

Escaping the Minutia
I, more often then not, like to work on a small scale. I don't entertain doing murals or side of building kind of works because it is overwhelming to me... to think of creating beyond the bounds of a sheet of paper. now its not that I don't work BIG at times... but it always scares me.In creating this next book, I have the basics nailed down and where I'm headed established. But it was pointed out to me by my wife that I'm too in the minutia. If indeed I wanted to take a page from the brilliance
