The coast of Oregon has brought me tremendous inspiration. It was a Otter Rock I had the idea of 'City on a Whale'. But it was also there that I later met some amazing people who run 'Flying Dutchman Winery' and I've been so honored that they would bring my work to those who stop into their amazing place. - I was pondering not long ago how they might have come up with their name. I'd heard it before but decided to ask my son if he knew. His reaction put me in my place as he said, 'Duh... I learned about it from Sponge Bob'... evidently I missed that episode. After a google search I Learned of the legendary ship and so decided to create a piece of art. At first there was no 'beast' in the water... but one night I awoke knowing exactly what I wanted to do. Thus... we have the 'Flying Dutchman'!
