Discover the beautiful story of one man and the animals he loves.
Written & Illustrated by Mark Ludy
Hardback / 64 Pages / Smythe Sewn
The Farmer was Mark Ludy's first book. A powerful story about a man who loves his animals, works hard, but disaster strikes... and everything is destroyed. Sadly the Farmer must sell his cow to his neighbors (his terrible neighbors who do him nothing but wrong). With this money he can recoup. But then comes another disaster and now he must sell his pig! But the Farmer continues to persevere, hope and trust and when soft rains fall he kneels in thanks. In the end there is one last disaster, but this time its his neighbors who are in trouble! and who's there to help them in there time of need?

Love this book!
This book is so special, we just ordered another for a friend. The first copy we purchased 16 years ago at an arts festival in CO Springs while on a trip (a fortuitous discovery and meeting of the author)!! I'm planting a garden this year, and I've thought of this book many times!! Beautiful story, lots of quotable lines, and charming illustrations in true Mark Ludy style.
