Custom PET and PEOPLE Portraits
Your pet and people are one of a kinds—why not celebrate them with a hand-drawn custom portrait that captures their personality, charm, and quirks? Whether you want a classic black & white sketch or a vibrant full-color piece, I’ll create an artwork that’s as special as your furry friend.
Each portrait is thoughtfully illustrated digitally, allowing for refined detail, artistic flexibility, and high-quality prints that bring your pet to life in a way that feels timeless.
Over 400 of these portraits have been created so far—and many will be part of my upcoming book, Pets and Their People.
This next round may be the beginning of what comes next.
What You’ll Get:
✔️ A custom, hand-drawn portrait of your pet
✔️ Options for black & white or full color
✔️ Choice of print or hang-ready canvas in multiple sizes
✔️ The option to add extra pets to your portrait
✔️ The ability to upgrade to a Premium Portrait for extra refinement and detail
What Is a Premium Portrait?
A Premium Portrait is where I dedicate extra time to refining, polishing, and perfecting the details—bringing out your pet’s unique charm with a higher level of finish.
If you're looking for something extra special and highly detailed, this is the option for you.
How It Works:
1️⃣ Choose Your Style – Black & white or color? Standard or premium? Select what fits your vision.
2️⃣ Select Your Size – Pick from 8x10", 11x14", or larger canvas prints to best showcase your pet.
3️⃣ Add Extra Pets (If You Want!) – Want all your furry friends together? You can include up to 5 pets in one portrait. Pricing adjusts based on how many you add (see below).
4️⃣ Provide Photos & Notes – Upload reference photos and share anything that might help me capture your pet’s personality!
5️⃣ Receive Your Unique Portrait – Your artwork will be printed on high-quality paper or canvas and shipped to you.

Help Me See Them
What you share matters.
The photos you send—and the words you include—help me understand who I’m drawing. Not just what they look like, but who they are.
Please choose clear, expressive photos. If you send more than one, make sure they feel like the same pet or person—it’s amazing how much lighting or angle can shift their look.
Tell me what makes them special. A personality quirk. A role they played in your life. Something you hope I notice.
You don’t need to overexplain—I don’t follow strict instructions well—but a little insight goes a long way.
"What you share helps me draw not just what they look like—but who they are."
What to Expect
Each portrait is drawn one at a time, with care and focus. I usually work through orders in the order they come in, though I occasionally mix in portraits from collaborative projects (like Instagram pets for the book).
There’s no guaranteed turnaround time. I’ll reach out if I need clarification or run into questions—otherwise, just know I’m working through them thoughtfully, one by one.
Every portrait is interpreted with artistic discretion.
I do my absolute best to capture the essence of your pet or person—but these are hand-drawn illustrations, not photo replicas. What you get will reflect my style, my eye, and the sense I get from what you’ve shared.
If you’re looking for something highly specific or exact, this may not be the right fit—and that’s okay.
That said, if something comes through in the artwork that feels off—especially if I’ve missed something clearly communicated—I’ll make it right.
This is a personal process, and I want you to feel cared for in it.
One more thing:
All artwork I create remains under my full copyright. That simply means I retain the rights to the image, including the ability to share the portrait on my website, in future books, or as part of marketing materials.
That said—this is your story too.
If I ever consider using your portrait beyond the original commission (for example, in a product line, fine art print, or licensing opportunity), I’ll reach out first. If you're open to it, we’ll explore next steps together. If not, I’ll fully respect that.
Your trust matters to me, and I want you to feel honored in the process.
This next round of portraits may help shape what comes next.
Whether a Volume 2 happens will depend on how this offering is received and how the first book resonates.
But for now, you're stepping into something still being written.
A Quick Note on People-Only Portraits
I love drawing people too—and you’re absolutely welcome to commission a portrait of just a person.
That said, only portraits that include a pet are considered for inclusion in Pets and Their People for the possible Volume Two.
That’s how it’s always been, and how it will continue for the book.
Have questions? Feel free to reach out. I’d love to create something special for you.
