Every so often, I open the door just a crack and take on a new round of portrait commissions. And starting April 18th, I’ll be opening 25 new spots for custom pet (or pet + person) portraits!

If you’ve been waiting to get your pup, cat, ferret, or bearded dragon drawn—or you’ve seen Chickpea or Petey and thought, “I want one like that!”—this is your chance.

These portraits are more than just drawings.

They’re personality-packed tributes, a little ridiculous and a lot heartfelt.

You can expect character, charm, and maybe a pair of sweatpants if your pet insists.

Over the past few years, many of these portraits ended up in Pets and Their People – Volume One—a hardback collection that just opened for pre-order. This next batch of 25 may one day find their way into Volume Two (just saying…).

Each portrait is created by hand—no filters, no AI, just me, your pet’s photos, and a lot of love (and a little artistic liberty).

How it works:

• Spots open April 18th
• First come, first served
• You’ll submit your pet’s info, photos, and any special requests
• Turnaround time depends on the queue, but I’ll keep you posted
• All details will be available on the order page when it goes live

I’ll be releasing new batches of 25 portraits periodically throughout the year—so if this round sells out, don’t worry… just be sure to get on the list so you’re first to know when the next one opens!
